Deus Ex Mankind Divided A Criminal Past Review

Deus Ex Mankind Divided A Criminal Past Review

The Second Deus Ex DLC finally is here, while System Rift wasn’t big masterpiece i like to think A Criminal Past is lot better DLC overall while it doesn’t really contribute anything to the main story really. Here is a quick review on the game without spoiling anything major on the story itself

Experience Adam Jensen’s first mission for TF29, set before the events of Mankind Divided. Posing as a convicted criminal, Jensen is transferred deep into a hostile, high-security prison for augmented felons. His mission: Track down and retrieve sensitive information from a fellow undercover agent who has gone dark. Success will help the fight against terror around the world, but Jensen will need to confront a darker side to his role before the day is done.

A Criminal Past does feel like more stand alone DLC while System rift felt like it was taken from the main game, since it took place in Prague and it looked like being part of the main hub even slightly, sadly the money hungry jews at Square Enix wanted to get money from the fanbase and divided the main game in half and made micro-transactions and other bullshit Weapon Pack DLC stuff.

Story wise the DLC ain’t that strong, there are some interesting tidbits, emails, notes and some OK dialogue, but i wasn’t super interested what was going inside the prison (however, im big fan of prison settings in general). The game does offer great level design, while may not give so many hours unless you wanna explore everything and turn every rock, which is something that A Criminal past offers lot more than System rift did.
